In Episode 12, Jason Markey principal of Leyden High School, with the help of three of his students (Jacob, Marta and Kristina), discuss how they are using social media in their school to promote student voice. The students share four different ideas that they are trying this year using Twitter and Blogging.

Jason has been a leader in the infusion of technology in student learning at the classroom level and continues to push technology initiatives in his role as an instructional leader.  Jason was named principal at East Leyden High School starting in the 2012-13 school year, previously serving the district both as an assistant principal and as a social studies teacher.  Jason has recently helped lead a district initiative to move the Leyden School District to 1:1.  Jason believes strongly in the power of the web as a social connector continuously looking for opportunities to learn from and collaborate with others.
